libdaap is an implementation of the Digital Audio Access Protocol, which is used within Apple's iTunes 4.0 music player to enable the sharing of music across a network. This release adds support for many new platforms, adds code that allows the library to be used for creating a DAAP server (as well as a client), and the code has been made much more efficient in general. The purpose of the DAAP project is primarily to provide a library for the Digital Audio Access Protocol, or DAAP. This project aims to be the source of open documentation for the protocol and hopes to provide a solid, portable implementation of the specification.
