Extremely useful! I often have tons of cmd and powershell windows open. This is an awesome way to keep them under control.

It's slow man. Terminal has to be instant. I'm on XP and for example when switching windows, I start typing, but there is lag of 1-2-3 seconds. I imagine java can do it faster

I was looking for a console that has a transparent background only. Console is as useless/useful to me as cmd.exe.

Just add UAC support and option to copy without shift key and then it's perfet

Can't select text for copying to the clipboard. No "history" feature in which to search, just the "up" arrow.

I'm an IBM TSM admin and I need a good looking "DOS-Like" windows, this is awesome. I would like two new features: 1. Double-click to select one word 2. Make possible to create folders on Tabs, so I can have "Customer 1" and all servers inside it. Thank you!

Has changed the way I interact with Python and cygwin. Used to use puttycyg. Now use Console 2, multiple tabs, one with ipython, one with cygwin, open new tabs as needed for side tasks. Much easier and more compact; super-glad I made the switch.

This is great as a replacement for Windows cmd.exe. I used to use this with Cygwin, but I have always had a terrible time with line wrapping, window resizing, and other stuff. But it was the best alternative for years until I found MinTTY. MinTTY is now the default terminal emulator that comes with Cygwin, and after using it for like 2 minutes I'm already amazed at how happy I finally am.

Works Fine. I use with with WinZsh+GNUWin32 on a WinXP box where I have to have an extremely old version of cygwin installed (thus preventing me from using a reasonably current version of it and its terminals.) Only issues I've seen after 3+ months, and these ***may not even*** be issues with this Console app: - (WinZsh issue?) Most annoying: binary characters show up on right side of the prompt line. The annoying part is that if I copy an entire command line, these characters trash the resulting paste attempt. - (WinZsh and/or GNUWin32 issue?) *occassionally* hangs maybe once every ~2 days with heavy usage. I don't have a good scenario definition ID'd, but it seems to occur usually when I'm trying to do something quickly and always when I submit a command before any command output returns. (To be honest, probably *not* a GNUWin32 issue, as I never saw this while using GNUWin32 commands in a WinXP CMD shell.) I offer one Enhancement Proposal: handle ANSI sequences that affect text color/bold/underline/etc., such as output from bash and z-shell (e.g. with output such as that from "grep --color==always ...") Console does handle ANSI output from WinXP's CMD shell, such as from the "tree" and "color" commands.
