I believe that there is far too much censorship in today's society. As such, I have written a CGI Proxy designed to make bypassing internet filters easy. I do have ideas for other programs and you can see the project home page for more info on them.

Serpent Edition 0.0.1 - Recoded the script in Python - Added a miniature web server so that you don't need to install apache on your home computer - The proxy now works perfectly on all non-javascript links and embeds. - Added an option to Base64-encode the entire page and send the browser some JavaScript to decode it.

CHANGES: 0.0.6 - Fixed the bug (seemingly in Perl itself) that prevented Regexps from matching and fixing relative URLs. It seems that my test pages didn't have any or I would have caught this bug before. - marginally nicer interface - now providing gzipped and bzip2 tarballs. - the script is now provided with UNIX line endings instead of Windows line endings. - the script now comes with a .cgi extension instead of a .pl extension. 0.0.5 - Switched over to a linux server for testing since my WinXP box is proving once again that I only keep it for the games. - Confirmed that some of the images on microsoft.com still don't work. - Fixed a problem with the archive which was causing it to create an empty directory when AWlite was extracted. 0.0.5 UNTESTED - Switched the link adjusting code from while loops to regular expressions. It is no longer case sensitive and runs over twice as fast (crude observation). - Should be compatible with many more sites but I was unable to confirm it. - Code is smaller due to the switch to regular expressions. 0.0.4 - Created the first version of the page modification code - Added routines to correct the lack of http:// before typed URLs and a / after. - Improved the user interface slightly. 0.0.3 - Added a simple user interface. - AccessWeb Lite now gets the mime-type directly from the source file (AccessWeb can now get any type of file). 0.0.2 (unreleased) - Updated to use CGI.pm and greatly simplified. 0.0.1 (First Release) - Only the simplest of support for redirection of HTML files.
