Hello I fixed the big crash bug with the KDE 2 GUI. Now the KDE 2 GUI is usable. There is still some little crash and problems in the build process. Please tell me if you find a way to crash ZZplayer and a way to reproduce the crash. Core file are welcome. Regards Nicolas |

Hi I did some update in the configure script. Now the configure script check your sound system and print a summary at the end. There is a bug with the gnome check, I will fix this bug as soon as possible. The --enable-debug option is broken with the KDE GUI. It's a problem with the libtool check for the KDE GUI. You can only debug ZZplayer with gdb without the KDE GUI. New function in the PluginManager class getAudioDriverList. This function return a pointer on a AudioDriver table. After use, you don't need to free the table. I put a little example to read the table : AudioDriver *audiodriverlist; int i; audiodriverlist=pluginmanager->getAudioDriverList(); for(i=0;audiodriverlist[i].name;i++) { printf("Driver Name : %s, Description : %s\n",audiodriverlist[i].name,audiodriverlist[i].description); } To set the driver use setAudioDriver( AudioDriver *mydriver) This function exists but do nothing. Regards Nicolas |

Hello I update a lot the configure scripts. The bigest update is the gettext check. Now you can disable the translation with the --disable-nls option. Regards Nicolas |

Hello I update some files to check what version of KDE is available. You can chose if you want the KDE gui with --enable-kdegui [default=yes] and after your version of KDE --with-kde-version [default=2] It's impossible to build the KDE 1 and KDE 2 gui in the same time. It's a first try, I have still to fix some bug. Regards Nicolas |

Hello Can It's good to hear you on the zzplayer-users mailing list. I have many questions for you : Did you try the last CVS ? Is it working on Solaris ? Do you have the plugger software on Solaris ? Did you try ZZplayer as Netscape plugins ? Regards Nicolas |

Hello As we want to release ZZplayer-0.9 as soon as possible, I commit Can changes about the Solaris port. Can please commit your file if you made a new version. I restored the keepRatio but it's still working bad. I update the commande line version. Now you can change the sound volume with the wheel of your mouse. It's very funny !!! Regards Nicolas |

Hello I just update the command line. Now if you run ZZplayer with the command line you can switch in fullscreen with a left click or make a pause with the right click. I added the SDL_NOPARACHUTE flags in the SDL init and change the sound available test. Regards Nicolas |

Hello I did some changes in the CVS. I try to convert all the setenv in putenv functions. It worked except for the window Id export. I fixed this special case with an ifdef __linux Please Can could you check if you can read an mpeg file inside a netscape window. To do that you need plugger, I join a part of my /etc/pluggerrc : video/mpeg: mpeg, mpg, mpe: MPEG animation :zzplayer --fullscreen=no --autoclose=yes --loop=no --saveoptions=no --windowID=$window $file I modified the configure script and added the XFree86 VidMode 1.0 check. If the configure finds the VidMode the XFREE86_VM variable is defined. Please Can could you check if it's working on your system and then commit your file. I hope we are close to the solaris port !! I added the nogui directory. It's now possible to play a mpeg file without any gui. All options are not suppoted but It will be a good example to understand how the new zzplayer API works. I remember why I am not using SDL_WM_ToggleFullScreen. With this function I am not sure about flags gave in the fullscreen init. With the ZZplayer initVideo, I am sure !! Regards Nicolas |

I have only one VCD, buy to implement VCD support in ZZplayer. My VCD worked fine with ZZplayer-0.8. Did you try smpeg 0.4.2 ? I downloaded this new version but I didn't have time to test it. i'm attaching what should probably be the new configure.in script. i'm changing the docdir to be something saner than /usr/doc, but feel free to change it again to something else, as long as it's dependent on the $prefix the user supplies (otherwise it really sucks for people who dont have root or want to put stuff somewhere seperately) Can On Fri, Dec 08, 2000 at 05:19:58PM +0100, Nicolas Vignal wrote: > > Hi > > > zzplayer takes up incredible amounts of resources (not so much memory > > ~10MB, but about 70% of the cpu on my ultrasparc @300Mhz).. any plans to > > make this better? it also seems to memory leak about 8k between films... > > Is it a new ZZplayer features ;-( or the load come from SMPEG ? > Could you check if you have the same probem with the plaympeg command ? > > > and, in the meantime, i wanted to ask about the fullscreen code. is > > there a reason why you're not using SDL_WM_ToggleFullScreen() and > > getting/setting the video mode instead? the reason i'm asking is that > > the former seems platform independent, while i'm not so sure about the > > latter. > > There was a reason, but I cannot remenber why I don't use > SDL_WM_ToggleFullScreen > > I think about and tell you if I remenber. > > I will try your changes this week end. > > > Regards > > > Nicolas > _______________________________________________ > Zzplayer-developers mailing list > Zzp...@li... > http://lists.sourceforge.net/mailman/listinfo/zzplayer-developers |
