Let me start by saying I don't know much about anything, and I know even less about keyboards. I've been gleaning a tidbit or two from the Linux Keyboard and Console HOW-TO. http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/docs/HOWTO/Keyboard-and-Console-HOWTO in section 5.2 it describes how to change what happens when you press certain keys (or, more specifically, when you generate certain keycodes.) I'm quoting here. /usr/bin/loadkeys << EOF keycode 14 = BackSpace keycode 111 = Delete EOF so basically you are saying: keycode X = SOMEKEY so I guess just find out what keycodes (if any) your joypad generates (do joypads even generate keycodes?) and then set them to ... errr ... BackSpace and Delete. Then in zsnes, tell it to use backspace and delete for those 2 missing buttons. I highly doubt this will work, but you never know. The Keyboard-and-Console-HOWTO is an excellent document... you should prolly read it anyway. --- Florian Mittag <The...@gm...> wrote: > Hi! > > As it seems, I am not the only one having this > problem: > > I have a Medion gamepad (some no-name company in > germany) that has the > x-y-cross and 8 Buttons.
