Hi folks, If I scan for my gateway (WRT54G) then I get: Cell 02 - Address: 00:0C:41:9D:2A:33 ESSID:"harrinet" Protocol:IEEE 802.11bg Mode:Master Channel:5 Encryption key:on Bit Rates:1 Mb/s; 2 Mb/s; 5.5 Mb/s; 6 Mb/s; 9 Mb/s 11 Mb/s; 12 Mb/s; 18 Mb/s; 24 Mb/s; 36 Mb/s= 48 Mb/s; 54 Mb/s Quality=3D100/100 Signal level=3D100/100 IE: WPA Version 1 Group Cipher : TKIP Pairwise Ciphers (1) : TKIP Authentication Suites (1) : PSK Extra: Last beacon: 84ms ago But the WLAN connection via zd1211rw is horrible slow, compared to the ol= d zd1211-83. iwconfig shows that the local port is running just with 11 mbi= t: % iwconfig wlan0 wlan0 802.11g zd1211 ESSID:"harrinet" Mode:Managed Frequency:2.432 GHz Access Point: 00:0C:41:9D:2A= :33 Bit Rate=3D11 Mb/s Link Quality=3D97/100 Signal level=3D93/100 Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0 Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0 How comes? Link quality doesn't look so bad. Shouldn't they agree upon some higher bandwidth, e.g. 54 mbit? Bus 001 Device 005: ID 0ace:1211 ZyDAS 802.11b/g USB2 WiFi Any hint would be highly appreciated.
