That's fair enough, but I think playing like this spoils the game a
little.

Its nice to find surprises at deep levels.

But as my *very first game ever*, I reserve the right to experiment with

stuff by saving games once in a while without abusing.
I need a way to try new tactics and little known spells to see if they
are 
a viable solution...

And honestly, my main goal is to get to know the game better and have 
fun.  Later I will play a "real" game for sure.
