I am using a Native Instruments Audio8DJ with ALSA and plughw. It works surprisingly well. However, I’m only using one player. Do you have any further plans with xwax? It would be really cool to build a unit around it and perhaps keep it open source. I’m thinking a cylindrical device that fits on the turntable, kind of like dicer, with an LCD and a USB slot. I guess the hardware and circuit board would have to be designed from scratch but with the ARM processors of today it doesn’t seem to be impossible. Also, SDL is not necessary when writing to an LCD so there doesn’t seem to be much else that limits it to Linux. Or am I wrong?
