Hi all,

I don't want my original addition to font_dirs[] to end up with patches for
every distribution just to find fonts, so I took a stab at implementing a
fontconfig-based search for fonts.  I've attached a patch against the current
git origin/master branch that seems to do so (at least for fontconfig-2.6.0).
 Let me know if it works for you; for instance, I'm not sure the include file
is in the same place for every distro, but at least this can be set up during
configure if necessary.

I apologize for the one line longer than 79 characters (call to
FcPatternGetString()), so tweak as desired Mark :)  I couldn't figure out a
way to make it look decent to me.
