IBM doesn't distribute ViaVoice for Linux with anything except American English. You need to get the RTK for American English (I'll contact you offlist about this) and then the German ViaVoice for Windows. Then there's a process for using the Linux version with some files from the German Windows version so that you end up with a German Linux version, basically. I think there is documentation online about how to do this; mail the list again if you get that far and have problems. You will have issues with xvoice's built in vocabulary (which is all English), but it should be fixable with some work. j [obnoxious Yahoo/eGroups ad removed] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Note: This email was posted on a previous mailing list which has now (July 2003) moved to http://sourceforge.net/projects/xvoice/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
