#12 Snap in is too generous

No

If you try to place two parallel straight N track segments, the segments will snap together once the vertical distance approaches 1.016in / 2.55cm.
You can place the pieces somewhere and move them closer.

And colinear in cjoin.c should be spelled collinear.

I'm able to get tracks close to each other by ca. 1.5 cm in first tests. This seems to be a very reasonable distance for laying parallel tracks, even in Z scale. It might be reasonable to make the snap distance a configurable parameter.

From wiktionary: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/colinear colinear: alternative spelling of collinear

The snap distance depends on track gauge and display scale. See OnTrack2() in track.c for details. This approach looks reasonable so won't be changed. Pleae let me know if I'm missing something important.
