Category: xine-lib Group: v1.1.2 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: repeated rebuffering of ogg streams Initial Comment: Hi, when I play this ogg radio stream, after each song xine re-buffers, thus you hear after each song an annoying pause. The stream url is: http://radio.uni-bielefeld.de/stream/hertz-q5.ogg I am using ubuntu 6.10, xine --version prints v0.99.4 and I observe this problem with the ui 'xine' or with 'amorok' (using the xine engine). I used tcpdump to check if xine is reconnecting after each track, but it doesn't look like that. Btw, while looking at the amarok bug tracker I found a xine related bug, which is perhaps related: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114513 ("ogg buffering doesn't work properly when file is very short") Best regards Georg Sauthoff ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Sergey Svishchev (shattered) Date: 2007-07-28 19:03 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=45207 Originator: NO More like Amarok bug 134502. Each time the stream at http://ganymede.frequence3.net:19000/frequence3.ogg sends metadata (which is roughly each 10 seconds), xine re-buffers. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Darren Salt (dsalt) Date: 2007-02-27 21:07 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=294680 Originator: NO Package & version corrected. Try not to misfile again :-) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Georg Sauthoff (g_sauthoff) Date: 2007-02-27 21:00 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=557244 Originator: NO to be more verbose: the pause (while rebuffering) bugs me, just because often it is not exactly between two songs, but right 1-2 seconds after the next song started ... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109655&aid=1670187&group_id=9655 |
