Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Craig Orsinger (cjorsinger) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: xine-lib 1.1.7 Missing channels.conf Initial Comment: This is running on Fedora 7 with the standard Fedora 7 build on an x86_64. When I try to either run xine from the desktop menu and then click on the DVB button, or run it from the command line like this: xine dvb:// a dialog box pops up saying " - xine engine error - Input plugin faile to open mrl 'Sorry, No channels.conf found'", and another that says "The specified file or MRL could not be found. Please check it twice. (Sorry, No channels.conf found)". Of course there actually is a channels.conf file in the $HOME directory, another in ~/.xine, and a third (all copies of the same file) in /etc. However, if I run xine this way: xine dvb://KCTS-HD where, "KCTS-HD" is a channel name that occurs in the first column of the channels.conf file, xine will tune that channel. It works for many channels in the channels.conf file. Here, by the way, is a line for that channel from the file: KCTS-HD:635028615:8VSB:113:116:7 As you can probably tell, I'm in North America, and these are terrestrial ATSC channels. Either the dialog boxes are not telling me what the real problem is, or there's something wrong with the way it looks for channels.conf in certain circumstances. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Darren Salt (dsalt) Date: 2007-07-07 13:48 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=294680 Originator: NO So far as I've been able to tell from previous reports, there's one "certain circumstance" which is ATSC. Basically, patches welcome; I for one have no way to test or debug ATSC-specific stuff. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109655&aid=1749508&group_id=9655 |
