Category: audio output problems Group: v1.1.1 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Quicktime HD trailers with AAC 5.1 play distorted low sound Initial Comment: Quicktime HD trailers with AAC 5.1 play distorted low sound: Kaffeine (or xine) played those trailers with stuttering video and stuttering buzzing sound. xine:Settings:Setup:Audio: speaker arrangement: this was Stereo 2.0 I changed this to "Surround 5.1" (I also changed kaffeine xine parameters) Now the video plays smooth but the sound has now a slow mode deep voice affect and is still buzzing. See this link: http://movies.apple.com/movies/disney/cars/cars-tsr4_480p.mov /usr/lib/xine/plugins/1.1.1/xineplug_decode_faad.so is required vatbier ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: User Privat (teetrinker) Date: 2005-12-02 09:20 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=969781 This is a known problem. The faad2 version included with xine-lib reports a wrong channel number with 5.1 aac. Xine-lib doesn't use the latest available faad2 version for this reason: http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=35535 For more info search the xine mailing list. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109655&aid=1371361&group_id=9655 |
