Category: subtitle decoding Group: v1.0 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: kaouete (kakaouete) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: subtitle with overlapping timestamps are not all visible Initial Comment: Hi, when in a sub, there is two lines (or more) with timestand who are overlapping (say : line 1 is from 0 to 5 and line 2 is from 3 to 6) the second one is not visible all the time it should (line 1 is visible from 0 to 5 and line 2 is visible from 5 to 6). The two line should be visible both on the screen at a same time (0-3 : line 1 ; 3-5 : line 1 and 2 ; 5-6 : line 2) Thanks :] kaouete ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: kaouete (kakaouete) Date: 2005-10-10 12:17 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=793839 In fact you can create one yourself, just make a subtitle file with ranges overlappings I attached one, you can use it with any video just for the subtitles, you can find at 0:02:13.00,0:02:18.38 a sentence overlapping with the two after that are at 0:02:14.25,0:02:15.96 and 0:02:16.46,0:02:18.01 (but i guess it is not a good example because it doesnt only show the problem but lot of subtitles : ) I tried it here, with xine it show me the first (Hooray, Hooray) and when the second (What does this mean?) appear the first disapear. With mplayer you can see both on the screen on 2 lines. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: kaouete (kakaouete) Date: 2005-10-09 12:24 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=793839 Hi, i will try to find you a video that is showing the problem. I think mplayer is able to display these subtitles correctly (two at once). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Thibaut Mattern (tmattern) Date: 2005-10-06 10:48 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=532851 what player displays it correctly ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Thibaut Mattern (tmattern) Date: 2005-10-06 10:48 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=532851 we cannot properly debug this problem without a sample file/stream. please post an url to somewhere it can be downloaded or streamed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109655&aid=1268540&group_id=9655 |
