Search for following two lines in your .xinerc: four_channel:1 five_channel:0 If they are different (I guess they are) modify them. With regard to the error messages I do not know much about DivX playback. I even get similar messages when playing back some DVDs. If the > audio_oss_out: inserting 35890 0-bytes to fill a gap of 6731 pts message also appears in stereo mode with the usual emu10k1 driver, then I can't do very much about it. Can you verify that? Obviously, the CVS version still has its rough edges.
