Initial Comment: Hi, I've only just discovered the "file" output plugin which saves audio streams to WAV files. I was just wondering whether there's any way to make xine decode streams as fast as possible, rather than in real time, when this output plugin is selected (perhaps only when the file is audio-only, or video out is "none"?) - if audio_out="file", I'm not going to be able to hear the audio, so there's no point playing it in real time. I quite often need to convert files from non-freely supported formats to Ogg Vorbis to be able to listen to them on my portable player. Mplayer can output to WAV file extremely quickly, but isn't Python-scriptable (and xine is just nicer anyway! :-) ) Any ideas as to whether there's an existing way to do this, or what needs to be done to allow it? Thanks in advance, Allan ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109655&aid=1186662&group_id=9655 |
