Initial Comment:
When listening to
http://mp3.streampower.be/donna-high.mp3 using totem
with libxine, or xine-ui, I can often hear hiccups,
about every few seconds. These do not happen if I
listen with beep-media-player.

No error messages are shown on the console using xine-ui.

I'm using libxine1-1.0-3mdk on Mandrakelinux Cooker.

I'm getting this too.  You can reproduce it using a local
streaming server - I use Squeezebox
(http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html).

Steps to reproduce:
- Install Squeezebox SlimServer and start web service.
- Point Xine at http://<yourservername>:9000/stream.mp3 and
PLAY.
- In the Squeezebox web interface, choose a file and play it.

Xine will hiccup every few seconds.
