Bugs item #1094651, was opened at 2005-01-02 14:43 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109655&aid=1094651&group_id=9655 Category: gxine Group: current cvs version Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Darren Salt (dsalt) Summary: gxine crashes on x86_64 due to a bug in spidermonkey Initial Comment: Gxine from cvs crashes badly on x86_64 (FC 3) due to a bug in the version of spidermonkey supplied alone with gxine (the line 159 in jsarena.c for (a = pool->current; a->avail + nb > a->limit; pool->current = a) { called from engine_init(), called from in gxine's main() ). The quick solution for me was to force gxine to use an external version of spidermonkey, although some patching of gxine was needed (patches supplied in attachment). The reason for the patches was the name of the JS lib (Both Dag and Matthias Saou build the JS shared lib called libjs and not the libsmjs).
