You are right that this patch was developed only for release 1.1.19 and does
not consider latest developments in the 1.1-dev branch.

So please remove that patch, as the second part doesn't make any sense without
the first one.

Moreover, I think this issue has already been solved by another changeset of
1.1-dev:

My patch, when only partially applied, might work against their mechanism in
m4/attributes.m4. So, again, please remove that patch from the repository, and
sorry for the confusion! My patch is only usable for xine-lib up to release
1.1.19, not for 1.1-dev.
