Debug build(s). > I'm using Darren Salt's package with these versions: > gxine 0.5.7-1 > libxine1 1.1.2-1vdr0 It could be a xine-lib problem - does the same happen with 1.1.1 (which, hopefully, you still have in /var/cache/apt/archives) or 1.1.2-1vdr1, and is it specific to some video source? If not, download the gxine source and (with build-deps installed) build it as follows: DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=nostrip ./debian/rules build Run as normal (use the freshly-built src/gxine, though) and when it stalls, press Ctrl-C, get a backtrace and print all of the lock variables (you can get a full list with "grep pthread_mutex_t src/*.c"). (For xine-lib debugging, you should install libxine1-dbg. This also helps to provide better context in backtraces.) -- | Darren Salt | linux or ds at | nr.
