Hi Xavier,

I have rearranged the code such that the seek operation will be
postponed until the next read. This way the seek method itself is very
fast. The read should be able to deal with the delay, because I often
view videos over WLAN that is a little flaky and I never had xine
lockups in this case, just short stops in playing with "Buffering..."
message.

The results are promising. I have not seen a lockup in my tests, just
the message "Buffering..." while seeking to a new position, This is just
the same behavior as I see with the flaky WLAN.

Please try the attached patch.
