Hello. I'm trying to play some videos/images using fbxine using a combination of admitedly uncommon hardware/software so I don't think (fb)xine is at fault, but I still hope someone can tell me if it's something that can be worked around. Details: Motherboard: VIA EPIA M800 Video chipset: Apollo PLE133 with VT8601A Northbridge TV-OUT decoder. Running Gentoo Linux with 2.4.28-gentoo kernel. fbxine reports: fbxine 0.99.3 is a frame buffer interface for the xine library. Built with xine library 1.0.0. Found xine library version: 1.0.0. fbset reports: mode "640x480-59" # D: 25.176 MHz, H: 31.469 kHz, V: 59.376 Hz geometry 640 480 640 12000 32 timings 39721 40 24 39 9 96 2 accel true rgba 8/16,8/8,8/0,0/0 endmode I built the fb driver and tvout utility from this site: http://epiafb.sourceforge.net/ Now, with that combination I am able to display pictures using the TV-out using fbi (http://linux.bytesex.org/fbida/). When I try to run fbxine like this: fbxine -V fb -A none pic.jpg the program runs for a couple seconds and then it simply exists without an error message. I have uploaded an strace log here: http://izaram.net/uploads/fbxine.log.bz2 I've tried running the command as root, as a regular user, with different resolutions and bitdepths, all to no avail. Hopefully that's enough information. Please let me know if you need anything else. TIA. -- Arturo R. ____________________________________________________ Yahoo! Sports Rekindle the Rivalries.
