I've scoured usenet looking for a solution to my problem. I'm using an athlon 64 with fedora core 3. The problem appears in both the 32 and 64 bit versions. When I try to play any sort of file, avi, mpeg, wmv, xine fails with an error. It's the common complaint about not being able to find the input plugin and maybe the MRL is bad. The problem I'm having is that the text in the square brackets (for me) is always corrupt. Like an lpsz that's never initialized. Sometimes it's a short garbage name, sometimes it goes out of the dialog, I'm guessing until it finds a random null terminator. Anything I've found about this on the internet seems to have valid text in the square brackets. xine-check has no ouches. These files played just fine on my old 32 bit dual athlon fc2 box. Does anyone know what's going on? brian __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com |
