Several sites release downloadable movie trailers. Apple invariably uses QDesign codec for audio for all of their releases. Most other sites (notably Yahoo!) use MP3 for audio. There were several trailers for Sin City. It is possible you downloaded an MP3-coded one first, then a QDM2-coded one.
