It doesn't fix it completely, but there is a difference. Before, when xine was launched a blue screen appeared. Switching to full screen solved the problem, and switching back to a window showed again the blue screen. Now, with gui.osd_use_unscaled disabled, the blue screen only appears the first time xine is launched, switching to and back from full screen makes the problem go away.
