Hi, > I am working on a set-top box using xine and some > other applications in an embbeded linux (LFS). Just out of curiosity: Is that just a proof-of-concept project or will that set-top box be commercially available? > I am working with a 128 MB RAM and I have some problems > with it. Is realy 128 MB of memory > low for running xine ? 128MB should be quite enough for xine. Maybe you have to remove some unneeded plugins or reduce the stream fifo size (using the config entries {audio,video}.num_buffers), but xine memory usage is only around 30MB here. It is also possible that you are experiencing a memory leak. Do you see memory usage increasing while xine is running? It would also be interesting to know, what exactly is causing xine to crash. Could you provide a gdb backtrace? Michael -- printk("Illegal format on cdrom. Pester manufacturer.\n"); 2.2.16 /usr/src/linux/fs/isofs/inode.c |
