Are you using manually inserted post plugins in the chain reaction window 
here. I guess this confuses xine-ui, since it only knows you want to 
deinterlace when you use the deinterlacing feature of xine-ui.
When you use the chain reaction window to deinterlace, you are moving below 
xine-ui's radar.

I once browsed through the dscaler site, but I could not find any 
explanations. If you could help us with this and give us a pointer to some 
information, I would happily extend the help text.
