I don't have problems with alsa 1.0.0-rc2. I'm sorry, it was late. :-( xine-lib-1.0.0-0.5.rc3.fr (freshrpms.net src.rpm rebuilt by myself) xine-0.9.22-3.fr alsa-lib-1.0.0-0.rc2.1.fr (+ kernel modules + utilities) Red Hat 9 (fully updated) There's nothing suspicious in the output: audio_alsa_out : supported modes are 8bit mono stereo (4-channel not enabled in xine config) (4.1-channel not enabled in xine config) (5-channel not enabled in xine config) (5.1-channel not enabled in xine config) (a/52 and DTS pass-through not enabled in xine config) However, "xine -A alsa" has no sound at all. Fiddled with the volume controls everywhere... nothing. "xine -A oss" works fine. "mplayer -ao alsa9" works fine. "mplayer -ao oss" works fine. -- Florin Andrei http://florin.myip.org/ |
