I don't know if this is the correct list, but here goes: I am happily using xine for playing DVDs and realaudio streams. I can catch the audio output by directing audioo to Esound (esd) and using esdmon to capture the audio. This has some disadvantages: I have to listen to the output live whilst recording it. Whilst recording, I cannot us esd for anything else at the same time, So searching for inspiration, I looked at sxfe, and came up with two possible approaches: 1) Make a copy of the esd audio output plugin which captures the output, before discarding it. 2) Select the _none audio output plugin, and use the API to capture audio frames, and decode them to get the sound samples. I am a total neophite with xinelib, so I am completely at a loss how to proceed. Does anyone haave any comments/suggestions?
