Hello, Something's wrong, I think. Even with the multi xinefonts I couldn't see the subtitle. So I tried; edited .xine/config back to the orginal; # Font for external subtitles # string, default: sans misc.spu_font:sans # Encoding of subtitles # string, default: iso-8859-1 misc.spu_src_encoding:iso-8859-1 then tried; xine xyz.avi::xyz.smi I still couldn't see any subtile. I mean, even 'xyz.smi' is for the Korean language subtitle, I should've been able to see some sort of subtitle in broken letters. I suspect the format 'xine xyz.avi::xyz.smi' might be wrong. I use xine-lib 1-rc0a & xine-ui 0.9.22, and the format 'xine xyz.avi::xyz.smi' I used was according to the xine manpage included. Is the xine manpage up to date? Anyway, I've got another ttf sample; http://www.withseha.net/~so1713/xine/testing/gulim.ttf Does this ttf skip certain character, too? And a couple of Korean subtitle files you might want to take a look at (You probably know what movie these subtitles are for); http://www.withseha.net/~so1713/xine/testing/gladiator1.smi http://www.withseha.net/~so1713/xine/testing/gladiator2.smi the rest of files in the directory; http://www.withseha.net/~so1713/xine/testing/ are stuff you sent me last time. Am I being helpful? I really hope so 'cause this is the only reason I cannot recommend xine to my fellow linuxers who use Mplayer. Any assist you need, I'd be happy to help. Have a nice day. 2003-08-23 =ED=86=A0 04:52, Frantisek Dvorak=EC=9D=B4(=EA=B0=80) =EC=94=80: > Hi, >=20 > On St, 2003-08-20 at 13:21, Seung-yeong Oh wrote: > > Hello, > > I have RedHat Linux 7.3 + Ximian Desktop 2. > > Using latest xine release, here's what I tried; > >=20 > > # gcc -o xine-fontconv xine-fontconv.c `freetype-config --cflags --libs= ` > > -lz > > # xine-fontconv h2drrm.ttf HYRGothic_Medium EUCKR > >=20 > > I put the xinefonts in /usr/share/xine/libxine1/fonts directory > >=20 > > edited .xine/config; > >=20 > > # Font for external subtitles > > # string, default: sans > > misc.spu_font:HYRGothic_Medium > >=20 > > # Encoding of subtitles > > # string, default: iso-8859-1 > > misc.spu_src_encoding:euckr > >=20 > > And launched xine, tried; > >=20 > > 1. xine xyz.avi::xyz.smi > > 2. xine xyz.avi#subtitle:xyz.smi > > 3. xine xyz.avi#subtitle:/home/so1713/divx/xyz.smi > >=20 >=20 > All your actions was right. >=20 > > I could play xyz.avi, but not with its subtitle file ( xyz.smi ). > >=20 >=20 > Yes, it really doesn't work.
