Hi team, For those of you on xine-cvslog, you are already aware of the ffmpeg sync to the latest CVS build (actually, the biggest message of the bunch was too big to go through). I did my best to keep all the necessary changes there but please test the stuff you know should be there (especially the MPEG encoding support) to make sure I did not break anything. Here is the new stuff: * FLI and SMC decoding are both handled by ffmpeg now * 8BPS support in QT files; samples: http://mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/samples/V-codecs/8BPS-PlanarRGB/ * Duck TrueMotion v1 (yes! I've been working on this one for a long time); samples: http://mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/samples/game-formats/DUCK/ note that only salsa and vc2-intro from that directory presently work * Sierra VMD A/V decoders, but I have not finished the demuxer yet * Lossless Codec Library (LCL) codecs, MSZH and ZLIB; samples: http://mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/samples/V-codecs/mszh-zlib/ * ASV1...ASV2...ATI VCR1-- these are somewhat fringe video codecs that come in AVI containers; samples: http://mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/samples/V-codecs/ASV1/ http://mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/samples/V-codecs/ASV2/ http://mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/samples/V-codecs/ATI-VCR12/ * I also activated the MACE 3:1/6:1 audio decoders that have been in the tree for a long time, but they don't work correctly yet. There is also Xan DPCM audio, but there is a problem... Thibaut: I am trying to make sure the Xan DPCM works. I use wc4trailer.avi as a test file: http://mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/samples/game-formats/wc4-xan/ The video codec is not ready yet. When I aim xine at the file, it tells me the video codec is not available (fine), asks me if I want to continue anyway, and when I say yes, xine finishes playback. Can you tell me if there is something unsupported about the file? Other demuxers seem to handle it fine. James S: ffmpeg is supposed to have native support for RV20 now. Since you are more passionate about RealMedia support (and probably have sample media readily available), would you like to try to hook up the support? Thanks... -- -Mike Melanson |
