Hi Miguel, hi Rocky, hi all, as there seems to be consensus (at least mostly so) about what to do, I won't go through all the points again. I'm sure I could add a few more for option 3 and I'm sure Rocky could add a few more against it, so the discussion would be as endless as pointless. *sigh*... I know that feeling. And I've given up on discussing any complex issue with Rocky. (Rocky, don't take that personally! In fact, the only reason is that my knowlege of English is not even closely a match for yours, as you seem to be able to write faster than I can read. Your comments are still appreciated very much, it's just I won't argue unless I really have to, in an attempt to use my time more efficiently...) [...] IMHO, that's the most important point: Make things most usable, where "usable" means "doing the right thing out of the box". So at least vor vcd, let's replace it by vcdx! (cdda can wait till we know there's not too much of an issue with our local copy of libcdio.) Daniel: do you have some time to spend on the autoconf stuff this weekend? Cheers, Siggi |
