I tried to do so, but the DVD drive is not listet in the IDE settings of YaST2, probably because of the SCSI emulation. I had a look at the /etc/init.d/boot.idedma but found it to complex to put the drive in there manually within 30 seconds. And I am not sure if it is the right place to mess with. :-) I just put the call to hdparm into my boot.local. Have not bootet since, but I think this should work. Thank you for your assistance!
