You could, however compile the misc/xine-fontconv.c utility and generate some fonts with your favourite encoding with that. xine itself lets you chose the the font in it's setup dialog, "codec" tab, option "spu_font": Just install them to xine's font dir (/usr/local/share/xine/fonts, by default) and enter the font's base name as codec.spu_font... Of course, you could wait for xine to support unicode, but that's a very low priority item on our todo list. Cheers, Siggi |
