Hi, I'm attempting to compile xine-0.9.13, and am running into problems. I compiled xine-lib (./configure, make all, make install) and it was successful. But when I try and compile xine-ui, I get the following undefined references. -------- main.o: In function `main': /tmp/xine-ui-0.9.13/src/xitk/main.c:938: undefined reference to `xine_tvmode_init2' videowin.o: In function `video_window_exit': /tmp/xine-ui-0.9.13/src/xitk/videowin.c:1207: undefined reference to `xine_tvmode_exit2' videowin.o: In function `video_window_adapt_size': /tmp/xine-ui-0.9.13/src/xitk/videowin.c:435: undefined reference to `xine_tvmode_size2' /tmp/xine-ui-0.9.13/src/xitk/videowin.c:436: undefined reference to `xine_tvmode_size2' /tmp/xine-ui-0.9.13/src/xitk/videowin.c:320: undefined reference to `xine_tvmode_switch2' /tmp/xine-ui-0.9.13/src/xitk/videowin.c:314: undefined reference to `xine_tvmode_switch2' /tmp/xine-ui-0.9.13/src/xitk/videowin.c:309: undefined reference to `xine_tvmode_switch2' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[4]: *** [xine] Error 1 make[4]: Leaving directory `/tmp/xine-ui-0.9.13/src/xitk' make[3]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/tmp/xine-ui-0.9.13/src/xitk' make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/tmp/xine-ui-0.9.13/src' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/xine-ui-0.9.13' make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2 ----------- This is a freshly installed Redhat Linux 8.0 system. It didn't come with Xine so I have no earlier version of the libraries etc. xine-lib is installed by default to /usr/local as far as I can see, and I haven't specified any special path for it. And yes, I have exported LD_LIBRARY_PATH as "/usr/local/lib:/usr/local/lib/xine/plugins". I also tried putting it in my "/etc/ld.so.conf", and then running ldconfig... all before trying to compile xine-ui. Nothing seems to help. It seems this problem is to do with the tv-out related features of Nvidia cards. I have an Nvidia GeForce 4 with TV-OUT, but I don't need to use the tv-out at all. So I don't mind if I compile without support for it. Any suggestions to fix this problem ?
