i have an ibm a30 thinkpad with a combo dvd/cdrom that ran fine under xp = before i installed 7.2 redhat upon boot up linux identifies the dvd/cdrom correctly as hdc i have linked /dev/hdc to /dev/dvd and /dev/hdc to /dev/rdvd i set the dma on /dev/hdc to 1 it say it cant open video_ts.ifo i think it is trying to write back for the encryption...and can not do = so... i have chmod 777 /dev/dvd and /dev/hdc when i mount the dvd ...mount -t iso9660 /dev/dvd /mnt/dvd ....i mounts = correctly and i can read all the files... what am i missing gene french |
