xine-lib compiles fine without X, and if it still works, aaxine as a non-X
frontend as well.

aaxine (comes with xine-ui) has been reported to work with the DXR3, but I
haven't tested aaxine for a while now, and I don't even have a H+ (or
similar) to try dxr3 support...
