Hi, I am new to Xine and have just built version 0.9.3 on my Dell Inspiron 8100 laptop. When I try to run the program, it fails and gives the following console output: This is xine (X11 gui) - a free video player v0.9.3 (c) 2000, 2001 by G. Bartsch and the xine project team. Built with xine library 0.9.3 [Thu 15 Nov 2001 20:41:12]-[gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release)]-[Linux 2.4.13 i686]. Found xine library version: 0.9.3 (0.9.3). unable to open /home/charles/.xine_keymap Display is not using Xinerama. xine-ui: no response to command. main: probing <Syncfb> video output plugin load_plugins: video output plugin /usr/local/lib/xine/plugins/xineplug_vo_out_syncfb.so: init_video_out_plugin failed. main: all available video drivers failed. My kernel version is 2.4.13 (self built) running on a base SuSE 7.1 installation. The graphics card is the NVidia GeForce Go 2. I am running the latest NVidia drivers (1.0-1541, again built myself). My questions are as follows: What is Xinerama? Do I need it and, if so, how do I get it? Do I need a ~/.xine_keymap file and how do I get one/set one up? When configuring xine-dvdnav I get the message 'Could not find libdvdread...'. Where do I get this library from? Sorry if these are stupid questions, your assistance will be appreciated. Cheers, Charles Berger. |
