Let me start by saying that I'm enjoying XFE very much, to the point of considering it the best Linux file manager to date (on Windows, I indifferently use one of these: Cubic Explorer, Xplorer2 Free, and XYplorerFree).

There are other things that I miss, but one I find an absolute must: the ability to have the "three and two panels" layout show the panels tiled vertically instead of side-by-side horizontally (all products above can do it).

This might not be convenient for small screens, but has unmatched convenience on regular desktop displays.

On a marginall note, I'm currently using XFE in Peppermint OS, which is LXDE based, and its icon stands out as somewhat outdated among the other system and program icons. It's no biggie, though, I easily replaced it on file links and menus (just not on the application window list in the task bar).

In Xfe 1.40, file panels can be stacked vertically as you requested.
    Thanks for the idea,
