Category: None Group: None >Status: Closed Resolution: Fixed Priority: 2 Private: No Submitted By: Ian Little (ian_little) Assigned to: Ian Little (ian_little) Summary: .WRI document not recognised Initial Comment: Xena did not normalise a 'Microsoft Write' (.wri) document. Error : Cannot connect to OpenOffice.org - possibly something wrong with the input file. File opens in Wordpad but is not recognised by Open Office. You can force it to open in OO as plaintext but the document loses all formatting. Sample attached. ian ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Ian Little (ian_little) Date: 2009-04-06 15:37 Message: Binary based .wri files are identified and normalised as such. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: michael (mcarden) Date: 2009-04-02 16:35 Message: Please just check that the office normaliser doesn't barf on this any more and knows up front that it can't do it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Justin Waddell (jwaddell) Date: 2008-08-29 11:46 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1417827 Originator: NO It appears that OpenOffice doesn't support the import of .wri files (it's possible that we've never tested this before!), which means that we currently can't support it. I'll remove it from the office guesser (so the file should now be normalised with binary), and add a "support .wri files" feature request. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=577089&aid=2081489&group_id=85722 |
