Category: None Group: None >Status: Closed Resolution: Duplicate Priority: 1 Private: No Submitted By: John (vombatus) Assigned to: michael (mcarden) Summary: gif files identified as image/unknown Initial Comment: While doing the QA of a website transfer, i noticed that all the gif files selected for QA had a mime type of "Image/Unknown" Not sure if this is correct or not. I would have assumed that it would be "image/gif" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Justin Waddell (jwaddell) Date: 2009-01-14 06:02 Message: This is a problem caused by the fact that some file types share the same guesser. There is a 1-to-1 relationship between guessers and Xena Types, and it is in the Xena Type where we set the mime type. Thus images such as bmp and gif share a mime type, so I set it to img/unknown. I might work on this over the next few days and separate all file types into their own guesser and Xena type - a little more cumbersome, but will be much more accurate (and is causing a relatively serious bug in QA, found in Xena Bug #1870881). So this should probably be closed, as it is a duplicate of Bug #1870881. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: John (vombatus) Date: 2009-01-14 05:18 Message: I also noticed that bmp files were identified as "image/unknown" as well... Should be "image/bmp" Only a minor pick of the nits ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=577089&aid=2506201&group_id=85722 |
