i tried running mh-rmail

found out that it wanted to use /usr/local/lib/mh/install-mh
which !exists, here.

1) that's a strange place for an .?emacs package to expect to find something...

2) it's the mh from either the xe_lisp or xe_exec package that suse has avail. on their ftp for suse 6.4.
a) both of those packages have mh-e included.
b) and there's no /usr/lib/mh/mh-install in either of 'em

3) might be doing my own follow-up on this
(pending the finding of something to trace defun-at-point a bit better than `C-h v` )

suse needs to learn something from the dselect developers .

search-text-on-gui-canvas is a nice thing, in console or x.
