Yes, but it does webfarms, and pretty much anything else you can imagine.

xCAT 2.6 will have image capturing capability built in.  Right now there is
limited support for Partimage if you want to go that route.  But yes, if
that's what you want we can do it with xCAT.

This isn't something we do well.  (IMO)  My philosophy has been to just
redeploy the entire OS (with patch updates included) rather then spend time
working on update scripts.  This helps get rid of garbage, keeps the install
clean and then if new nodes are added or old nodes are repaired doesn't
require any additional maintenance to get them back up to production level.

There is a concept of otherpackages where you just create a repo and point
to it.  I would instead just use RedHat's kickstart file to generate an
additional repo and point to it.  That way you could do everything during
the install.
