Since you have xCAT 2 already installed on the new machine, after you rename. I would run xcatconfig -f , which will regenerate all your ssh keys, credentials and setup defaults the xCAT database. Not sure what else you have setup on the xCAT MN, but read the man page for xcatconfig -f , it tells you what other xCAT commands may need to be rerun as a result of running xcatconfig -f. Lissa K. I have installed and configured xcat 2 on a new machine. I will be decommissioning the 1.3 server and renaming the new machine the old server’s name. Will I need to regenerate the shared host key after this rename? Is there anything else I’ll need to change other than the obvious references to the server’s name in the tables?
