Hi Darren, I've read a lot more, but still am concerned about having a 2005 version 1.6 Xbox, and e.g. http://www.xbox-linux.org/wiki/FAQ#Why_Linux.3F_Why_not_Windows.3F will tell you no softmodding can be done. Don't want to realize halfway thru that I have to reverse the whole thing and start looking around for a chip. I thought you may have a suggestion ? Also, 320 Gb should not be a problem, should it ? (using Linux, or XBMC, see also following question) By the way, Linux can be put on such a system, or XBMC. I XBMC an app running from within Linux, or is this a standalone running thing which eliminates the option of having Linux on the Xbox ? cheers, a hesitant Xbox owner ;-) > The softmod NEEDS drive locking.
