Hello, I have a rather unusual problem. I have a ver 1.0 xbox that I have spent a week rebuilding and preparing to install Linux onto. While I was using the raincoat to flash the TSOP, the progress bar for the writing portion halted at 23% and would not progress beyond that. I waited for quite some time, but it just never came back. Here is a copy of the onscreen message: cromwell-2.40 # raincoat -p cromwell_1024.bin raincoat Flasher 0.5 Jul 22 2003 an...@wa... http://xbox-linux.sf.net Reading /etc/raincoat.conf... 12 flash types read DETECTED: Hynix - HY29F080 (1024K) Programming with cromwell_1024.bin...Read 1048576 bytes from file Erasing... (I should note that the unit originally suffered from console coma, and I had fixed this by bypassing the damaged portion of the bios with a jumper to pin A18.) After awhile my telnet session warned that it had lost the connection. Repeated attempts to reconnect to the box proved unsuccessful. And eventually I just hit the reset switch. So my question is this: How bad is it? Do I have any hope of getting Linux on this machine? Any help with this would really be appreciated. Thank you. Travis Sorrell |
