mythtv-xbox 0.4.3 worked "out of the box". Including the Xbox remote mapping. (No fiddling with lirc...YAY!) I also found I no longer had to turn on "aggressive sound buffering" (very minor, but a difference over 0.4.1) The "test" step didn't work, but mythfrontend started and ran thru the ssh session, even if slow, it was connected to the backend and had the schedule etc. Kudos to Dennis. I have not tried anything but myth, but that's really all it's for. Question--- If one already had Xebian 1.0.2 installed and configured, could one just run install.pl -c from the harddrive after boot? That way one already has a full environment if one needs to say debug paths, ping a box etc. |
