In an effort to create a full Linux distribution aimed at the original PocketPC Phone Edition devices XDA I and XDA II, porting of the Linux started today with the release of a first kernel version that can run on the XDA I.
The XDA I and II are devices manufactured by HTC and also known as the Wallaby and Himalaya. They are marketed under several brandnames, such as T-mobile MDA, Siemens SX-56 and QTEK.
