#3 about licence(H264)

Dear friends.
Please let me ask some questions about the license of H.264.

I'm trying to install H.264 codec through installing x264vfw.
If I use H.264 which is installed by x264vfw for encoding aviFile on my program, Do I need to pay royalties?
x264vfw contains H.264 codec, and distributes it.
Does this program resolve the licence of H.264?

I'm not well versed in this field.
I think that if I use H.264 codec, I need to meet the requirement both of H.264 and x264vfw.
x264vfw is based on GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE ver2 and I can use it on my program.
But other company has H.264 license.
So if I use H.264 codec on my program, I need to obey H.264 license.

Is my way of thinking is correct?

I am not lawyer so I can't really answer your question. If you going to distribute H.264 codec with your program than you may need to pay MPEG LA fees.
